Journalism graduate student Kate McDermott is a good girl who has done everything she can to please her very powerful and domineering father -- a Justice on New York's Supreme Court with hopes for political office.

When she decides to write an article about BDSM in popular culture, she tells herself it's just research and nothing personal for she can't afford to become the target of gossip or scandal. She hopes that the carefully worded agreement she writes up will keep her relationship with the Dominant she will interview strictly professional.

Then 'Master D' - Drake Morgan - walks into the interview and Kate is mortified for not only is he gorgeous, he's the son of her father's best and oldest friend…

Drake Morgan, MD, bass player, philanthropist – Dominant. Known as Master 'D' in Manhattan's BDSM Community, Drake must keep the kinky side of his life secret to protect his very successful career as a neurosurgeon. After a heartbreaking divorce, Drake doesn't do girlfriends, he doesn’t do sleepovers, and he certainly doesn't do breakfast in bed the morning after. He keeps everything in his well-ordered life separate and under his firm control.

Then Kate McDermott crosses his path and screws everything up. Now, nothing is neat and tidy anymore, and no longer under control for Drake is smitten and things are going to get messy…

The Agreement will stay with you long after you read the final page.

  • Steamy and spicy...

My goodness this book makes you wonder. It made me wonder if I could be a submissive. It would be good to not have to control everything. Whew....if only it were this easy; more people would come out of the closet and be more open minded. Can't wait to read the next book in the series...👀
  • I had to put it down

I read half of the book and I had to put it down. This was not keeping me interested. The girl character is so "I don't know if I should" super insecure that it was annoying. The guy equally as obnoxious trying to assure her. Back and forth too many insecurities and it made it impossible to continue reading. I don't know how this got good reviews. I read so many books one after another that I will delete it and never go back to it. Good luck to you if you decide to read it. Don't say I didn't warn you.
  • Couldn't get through a 1/3 of this book

Reading this book was a chore. I couldn't take Kate's crazy up and down moods and indecision. She kept fighting herself to have what she really wanted (Drake), or was she? The problems she had with her father could have been interesting if that relationship was developed way earlier. It seemed as though this was the author's first book, based on the fact that she would give you hints about this girls mental state, but then she just drops it. I couldn't stick around to find out what her problems were, and why her relationships with everyone were so difficult. I found myself thinking "just get to the point already!" I also have to say that Drake was most boring/confusing dom I have ever read. If I could give this no ⭐️'s, I would. Don't waste your time on this one, it's about 200 pages to long.

  • Loved it!!

Great story, great characters, better than "those books" in my opinion. This is the book that should have went to the big screen!! Can't wait to read the rest.
  • Nope

Poorly written book. The main character was incredibly whiny and annoying. Had the potential to be a good book but nope. Story didn't flow at all. Couldn't even finish it.
  • BDSM Primer and More

Very interesting and well-drawn characters, lots of X-rated sex, and excellent insight into the BD culture. An interesting plot that sets the action within NYC is started at the beginning of the story and continues in a logical progression, with some of the backgrounds not disclosed at once but through a series of events. There are multiple histories behind the many characters, and most are carefully depicted. Yes, everyone in NYC appears to be rich, have car services, and consume cocktails, not to mention always finding a parking space, but all of that luxury somehow works in this book. Give it a try.
